The moment the Indian fans were waiting for was when Yashasvi Jaiswal hit a brilliant and crucial cover drive off Jayden Seales. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for 175. Shubman Gill and Ravindra Jadeja’s performances helped India close out the second day’s play. The Indian captain’s brilliant century helped the team post a massive total of 518/5.

At stumps on Day 2, West Indies were 140/4 in 43 overs with 4 wickets in hand, Sahi Ho (31) and David Imla (14) remained unbeaten. Facing India’s mammoth total of 518, West Indies needed to score 378. Indian bowlers did such a miracle that the hosts West Indies’ remaining batsmen J. Campbell, Chanderpaul and Athanase did not get a chance to perform well in batting. There was a lot of hustle and bustle on the ground, sunshine was shining, a little moisture was shining on the bowlers.
