British Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in India for a two-day visit, his first since assuming office. In addition to Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Britain’s largest business delegation accompanied him on this flight.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai on Thursday morning, and the two held bilateral talks. The two leaders’ relationship was warm and they discussed important agreements between the two countries.
The UK Prime Minister Starmer was accompanied by a business delegation on Mission 2025, covering trade and investment, technology and innovation, defence and security, climate and energy, health and education. This agreement was considered quite important.
The two Prime Ministers discussed the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in line with Mission 2025. In a joint press conference after the delegation-level talks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that in the current era of global economic instability, the growing partnership between India and the UK is becoming an important pillar of global economic progress. He said that peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region and West Asia, and the ongoing war in Ukraine were discussed.
It is attended by 125 CEO and representatives of Britain’s largest companies. This delegation includes CEO and representatives of major companies who want to do business with India, invest in India, and enter into agreements with Indian companies.

British Prime Minister Starmer will be on his India visit and will attend the CEO Summit in Mumbai on 9 October.
