British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai on Thursday morning, and the two held bilateral talks. The two leaders’ relationship was warm and they discussed important agreements between the two countries.
The UK Prime Minister Starmer was accompanied by a business delegation on Mission 2025, covering trade and investment, technology and innovation, defence and security, climate and energy, health and education. This agreement was considered quite important.
The two Prime Ministers discussed the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in line with Mission 2025. In a joint press conference after the delegation-level talks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that in the current era of global economic instability, the growing partnership between India and the UK is becoming an important pillar of global economic progress. He said that peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region and West Asia, and the ongoing war in Ukraine were discussed.
